We are proud to offer this $500 scholarship to support students who share this philosophy and seek an education which supports the values of equal treatment under the law.

Eligibility Criteria

The scholarship is offered to college level students across the state of Colorado, including community college, graduate students and recent high school graduates or GED recipients about to enter college.  Applicants should also be in good academic standing with a minimum GPA of 3.0.

Students should demonstrate a passion for social justice issues through their work in school or in the community.


  1. A current resume, including any school or volunteer activities that reflect a commitment to social or criminal justice.
  2. An unofficial college or high school transcript, or GED certificate.
  3. An essay, up to 1000 words, on the following:  In what way(s) can America's criminal justice system be improved or changed to promote equal treatment for all socioeconomic backgrounds?



In order to be considered, please email your full application, including the essay, your transcript, and your resume to info@hebetsmccallin.com by December 1st, 2017.  The winner will be selected by December 15th, 2017.
